    Description

Are you looking for a place to prove yourself with advancement opportunities and training? Want to feel respected and proud of what you do? Looking for a change? Want to challenge yourself to learn new things?

Welcome to ACR. We are an award-winning concrete restoration / specialty coating contractor in the Greater Vancouver / Fraser Valley. Check out our website, www.appliedcoatings.ca to get a better feel for what we do.

    What can you expect?……

    A real team environment:

A management team that cares and encourages a work life balance. We encourage and support not only a strong work ethic while at work, but a strong work ethic in life. We work hard to accommodate family obligations and extra curricular activities. We promote an equal opportunity / supportive workplace.

    Options for travel:

Out of town work.  We are not afraid to take on a challenge in other regions of our great country. We have sent crews to locations stretching from Vancouver Island to Dawson Creek to Saskatoon, and a variety in between. Team members are always given the option to stay should “life” not accommodate them being away.

    Training Courses:

We provide our own training as well as send our team members throughout Canada and the US to specialized training programs. The area of work we do is very specialized and there is no formal schooling for it. You will gain a unique skill set through our training programs and with that skill set gain a real sense of job security.

    Variety:

Some of our jobs are long term (months) and some of them are quite short (days), depending on the customer’s needs. You may find yourself in the back of a Costco or the Zamboni room of an NHL team. You might be in a winery in Kelowna or on a pool deck in Whistler. You might me in a warehouse in Burnaby or a kitchen in North Van. It changes all the time and keeps you on your toes. Having a valid driver’s license is a prerequisite for the supervisory position.

Not just a job, a home:

We want you to succeed and grow with us. We promote a sense of ownership of the jobs you will be doing, and in return provide you with top notch safety equipment and the best tools in the industry ( we are equipment and tool lovers! ). The end result, a sense of pride in who we are and what we do.

    Going the extra mile:

We keep our staff up to date with new personal computers through our technology program. We help keep you safe and comfortable with our safety boot / gear allowances. We host staff BBQ s and Christmas parties, reward good ideas and promote from within.

The work is physical, however if you can lift 50 lbs, you can do anything around here.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $26.00 – $30.00 / hour

    Requirements

    • 2 years supervisory experience in any construction discipline.
    • Valid class 5 driver’s license
